Contemplative....
Yes, I do think. Sometimes. Rarely.
Every day I listen to music. Almost constantly. I love music.
It’s my life. It gives me all I need. It brings meaning to life.
I’ve been listening to different music the last couple of weeks. There is one artist that reaches me.
Delirious and awesome.
Does anyone get this feeling by listening to a song? :
Your heart starts pounding twice as fast. You close your eyes. You picture yourself at a intimate concert while he/she sings only for you. Your stomach starts aching. All your thoughts stop for a moment. Then they take of again.
I just want to cry. He hits my heart. I feel so vulnerable when I listen to him. Not only has he a beautiful voice. It’s the way he is. He loves what he does. He enjoys every second of it. He is exquisite.
Alot of music nowadays has the wrong focus. But this man. He does it all right. He is himself.
Jason Mraz. Halfway Home.
If I had the gift of writing music it would be this song. The lyrics to this song is me. It’s what I feel. It’s my life. Unbelievable. My body totally changes when I hear this song. I become so vulnerable. I guess there’s a reason. A reason for Jason Mraz to write those lyrics. Maybe he’s been there. Where I am? Who knows?
I may get the same affection by listening to Keith Urban or Natalie Merchant, but not at all to the same extent.
Has anyone seen an interview with Jason? He’s himself. That man knows to speak for himself. His lyrics prove it. And can he play? Hell yeah! He’s freakin’ awesome on his Gibson. It amuses me.
I’m dreaming of a concert. Think about it. Concert with Jason Mraz. The one and only. I would never listen to music again.
One day I’ll be among the audience crying.
Here’s a link to Halfway Home and Dynamo Of Volition. The last one is worth watching/listening to just for the guitar play.
